The Energy Policy Act of 2005 created a tax deduction for energy-efficient buildings, the 179D section of the Federal Tax Code. We have developed a system to simplify the complicated process of qualifying for 179D tax deductions.
1 | Feasibility studies
Before we make substantive steps to achieve certification, we start with a feasibility study to determine the potential that your facility already has qualifying energy-efficient systems.
2 | Building the Energy Model
Once the promising potential is determined, we can start the certification process with an actual energy study. Pulling from facility data, our models try to assess the reduction of energy and power costs by comparing them to baseline buildings.
3 | Certification
After determining savings, site visits follow to ensure that the models were built with accurate information. Once confirmed, the building will be certified.
